National Open Universities Of Nigeria (NOUN Nursing Requirements For Admission)
- Admission is available for 100 Level only.
- A minimum of 5 credits in O’ levels.
- Compulsory courses required in O’levels are Mathematics, English Language, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A registered Nurse Licence/Certificate is required.
You must have a registered Nurse or Midwifery Certificate/Diploma from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria before your application will be approved for admission into the NOUN nursing program.
- Duration of study: Five (5) Calendar years with a one-year internship in a recognized health care institution.
- Registration obtained: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN), and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN).
- Academic qualification: Bachelor of Nursing Science Degree (B.N.sc)
- Additional requirement: You are also required to have six months of working experience and a letter of attestation from the current place of clinical practice for registration into the Noun nursing program.
- A Higher National Diploma (HND) or a good first degree in a related field of study can equally get you admitted into the institution.
Remember, you are required to five (5) credits in English, Mathematics, a science subject, and two (2) other subjects.

- Only Registered Nurse with Licence/Certificates can apply for nursing at NOUN.
- Duration of study: Five (4) Calendar years with a one-year internship in a recognized health care institution.
