Assemble the materials for your application

 Finish submitting your application
You will enter your high school coursework and grades, select a major and a backup plan, finish your writing exercises, and enumerate your honors, awards, and extracurricular activities. For the purpose of determining admission to campus honors programs and granting merit-based scholarships, the school will review all the information you provide with your application.
Courses and Grades
Enter the courses you took in high school and your grades precisely as they seem on your transcript. The institution will send you an email with a link to report this information if you’re applying using Common App once you finish the application. An official transcript will only be needed if you enroll at UIUC.
Test results (if available)
The institution doesn’t require test results, so you can apply without having to submit your ACT or SAT results. It might be necessary to take the TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test, depending on whether you report your ACT or SAT results.
SAT/ACT

Regardless of the exam date, you should record your top sub-scores from the Duolingo English exam, IELTS Academic, IELTS or Indicator, or TOEFL iBT (do not use MyBest score) if you’re including these scores. The candidate must take the tests within two years of the date of enrollment in order for the results to count toward the English proficiency criterion. For the fall of 2024, the Duolingo English Test and the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition will be approved; however, future terms have not yet been decided.
Official test results are only needed if you enroll at UIUC. 1836 is the TOEFL iBT code. IELTS scores should be delivered electronically via your testing facility to the following account name: University of Illinois Urbana Champaign Undergraduate. Duolingo English Test scores should be sent electronically to the following account name: University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign Undergraduate Admissions.
Make the application fee payment.
You will be required to pay a nonrefundable credit card fee at the time of application submission. If you’re a domestic student who qualifies for a fee waiver, your guidance counselor must submit the fee waiver form. To ensure that your application is complete, the school need a fee or fee waiver form by their deadlines. $50 for domestic fees and $75 for foreign fees

Applicants for Common App
You can check your status using your existing myIllini account. A few days after completing your application, you will receive an email with login instructions if you don’t already have one. If not, the school make one for you.
