1. Dean’s scholarship
Dean’s Scholarships are intended to attract high-caliber students to the University of Saskatchewan. These awards will be offered to students who have outstanding academic records, show research promise, and are registering for the first time in a thesis or dissertation-based graduate program.
Value
Master’s: $18,000 per year for two years (department/supervisor is required to fund the seconds year at the same level of support)
Doctoral: $22,000 per year for three years plus tuition (department/supervisor is required to fund the third year at the same level of support)

Eligibility
- To be eligible to be nominated for a Dean’s Scholarship, the student:
- must be registering for the first time in a thesis or dissertation-based program at the University of Saskatchewan (students transferring from a Masters to a doctoral program are also eligible as long as they have not registered in their doctoral program at the time of the deadline for the competition)
- must have a minimum grade point entrance average of 85%
- must show proof of research activity in refereed journal publications or conference presentations/publications (at least 1 publication or 1 presentation)

The following awards are available to graduate students in good academic standing and who show research promise. While individual awards may have more specific eligibility requirements, all generally require a student to be registered full-time, fully qualified in a graduate program, with a minimum grade point average of 80%.
