The Kanbar Institute of Film & Television at NYU Tisch is situated among many of the academic and student life buildings of the university at 721 Broadway, New York, NY at Washington Square. For its 11,500 undergraduate and graduate students, NYU offers 20 residence halls as living on campus is not compulsory. Regular Decision and Early Decision I and II are offered by NYU Tisch. Every Early Decision wave is taken into account equally. You have to withdraw your applications from all other universities if you are accepted.
Early Action is also provided at NYU Tisch. Early Action does not bind. It is not necessary for you to withdraw your application from any other universities if you are accepted.
Scholarship for International Students from NYU
Scholarships are available from NYU to non-citizens of the United States or permanent residents who are applying as first-year students. Students who meet the requirements listed in their CSS Profile are eligible for need-based support. For your CSS Profile to be considered for a scholarship, it must be successfully submitted before the deadline.

Can someone with a BA, BS, or BFA already attend NYU Tisch for undergraduate film studies?​
To apply to the Kanbar Institute of Graduate Film and Television, you must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject. Furthermore, transfers from undergrad programs are not accepted into the undergraduate division after the sophomore year.
What is the Common Application’s significance?
​Undergraduate applicants are advised by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to give the creative section and the Common Application equal weight. Outstanding creative samples do not make up for a poor Common Application.
Does sending in a film improve my chances of getting accepted?​
A single creative entry is required for undergraduate applications, and candidates may choose to submit a film or video with a maximum runtime of five minutes. Nevertheless, according to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, submitting a film does not guarantee entrance.
Can I take a minor or double major? ​
Students studying film at NYU College of Arts and Science have the option to double major or minor. The Office of Undergraduate Admissions advises selecting a major that complements one another, like drama and English literature. To choose the appropriate courses for your degree, consult your academic advisor as early as possible.
